Serving the Oil and Gas Industry in the Appalachian Basin

  About Brighton Resources

Brendan McCarthy, president and founder of Brighton Resources, started his career in the oil and gas business in 1978 with Amoco Production Company in the Williston Basin of North Dakota. He was trained and mentored as a landman by the late Bud Meany, one of Colorado's great landmen. He worked in the western states for three years gaining experience in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah, Kansas, Illinois, and Michigan. While in Nebraska, Brendan negotiated and signed a 60,000 acre oil & gas lease from a large rancher in Cherry County, Nebraska. It was the largest lease ever acquired in the history of Meany & Johnson, Inc.

Between 1978 and 1991 Brendan worked as an independent landman in fifteen states throughout the country.

In 1991, Mr. McCarthy - along with partner and great friend Joseph Bojalad - formed TriEnergy Inc. Together, they developed TriEnergy into one of the most successful land acquisition companies in the Appalachian Basin.

Brendan became a Certified Professional Landman in 1998. He has served as Chapter 55 President of the IRWA and assisted in hosting the AAPL national convention in Pittsburgh, PA.

After selling TriEnergy in 2004, Brendan formed Brighton Resources.

Brighton Resources was created to focus on providing top-quality land, title and contract personnel services to the oil and gas industry.
